We just renewed our SSL certificate, that might have a bearing here.

I recommend clearing the browser cache for any NG cookie. You will need to log in again.

Running the command ipconfig /flushdns (Windows) usually helps as well.

To quickly dump the cache on most browsers try (clicking an open area of your browser, i.e. not with the focus on a dialog box)...

(Command/Control) + Shift + (Delete/Backspace)

Take care to only delete or clear the cache and not your passwords or other items you might wish to retain.

09:45 BST very slow responses

Initially,  took an age to load
Then connection timed out

It eventually reloaded.

We experienced a hiccup leading to connection time-outs this morning, which apparently was solved after I rebooted the server.

Do note NG will move to another hosting provider by 25 October, 2023, and we hope this move also squashes the annoying connection time-outs and response slowness we have seen in the last months.

NG will be offline from 25 Oct. and hopefully accessible again at latest 1 November. However, we enter unchartered (to us) waters, so be prepared for unexpected contingencies.

The move is finalised, forum (with some caveats regarding Gallery) is working, DNS is pointed to the new domain.

I could log in a while ago, but the log-in time was untimely out.

Since then, I haven't been able to log in for a while, but now I can.  Hope everything is going as planned!

My forum profile seems to have remained intact.  Only the "Look and Layout" has been reverted to the default setting.
