Thank you, John.  I found that the non-IF Nikkor 400/5.6 ED offers just a right amount of star bursts.

Yes, it was shot at 1 sec.  I wanted to keep the ISO as low as possible (at 400 in this case).  The lens was stopped down to f8 or f11.
