These are great Fons. Both color and the bokeh. Fine combination of that 50/1.2 and the PK-11A.     I also made some photo's of crocuses in my street garden, will upload later ;)

Fons & John: Both of you make me long for sspring and summer.

*** Edit: PC is working again, so I could add my daily picture now ***

My PC is disassembled currently so I cannot easily post shots
from my cameras. Today I was at the system integrator.

He had my bare server up and running with all 16 cores
and 64 Gig of RAM and aio water cooling.

I took some shots of the hardware on the table.

We already north of 1000 Euros without working hours....
You are out there. You and your camera. You can shoot or not shoot as you please. Discover the world, Your world. Show it to us. Or we might never see it.

I understand that very much. Have been working for c't magazine before testing motherboards and Optical drives...

These are two Xeons, 8 core & 16 threads each.

I did not max out the RAM, because 64 Gigabyte seems enough for my purposes and 256 Gigabyte (what the board can take) seem a bit of a stretch, moneywise and purposewise. As I got 2 x 4 memory channels it makes sense to use 8 x 8 GB (ECC registered for max stability and compatability)

Generally I optimize the systems for stability, noise and longevity. That is why I chose water cooling all in one. I am not sure I need a lot of computing power from the GPUs, but if my software will utilise such in the future, I have an upgrade path there.

I am excited. My last system stems from January 2009 and is still in perfect shape. I will now pass it on to my son.

Next stop: replace noisy Enermax original Power Fan with silent Noctua replacement Power fan.

For the new system there is a BeQuiet Black Power 650W (140 Euro plus Taxes) very good electrical and nosewise.

E X I T E D!!!

Gary: love the polarizing effect of the water surface. Is that your garden? Hope to sit there with you soon!
