the tree looks liks a type of Gleditsia

It is a Forest Pansy Redbud, Cercis canadensis. The leaves grow from the blossoms. When the leaves first sprout they are quite red.

Just beside the new Mosk is an even newer corner house. It is so bold it seems to eat up the historical building on its right.

I am surprised that design was allowed.  Interesting design, it would turn heads anywhere.

the red is so strong it eats into my monitors. Great leafs.
