Masters of Light

Yes, they are.  Vermeer is also a master of perspective.

It is a Forest Pansy Redbud, Cercis canadensis. The leaves grow from the blossoms. When the leaves first sprout they are quite red.

Gary, thanks for the identification.  I always see this species in my neighbors and have wondered its name.  The newly grown leaves are red which gradually turns to green.  Very peculiar.

Just beside the new Mosk is an even newer corner house. It is so bold it seems to eat up the historical building on its right.

March 11. A school of small fish at shallow water in the shadow of a tree. Probably a relatively safe place ... until a Heron drops by.

Man, I love that latest Crocus, the little green adds quite a bit to the photo.

Thanks Gary.

I am not sitting all day with my nose in the petit street garden  ;)

The main square in Tilburg - Heuvel. The statue of King Willem II on the left. Welcoming the flags...

While I read my morning paper and sipped my coffee, the Cook came in with her blanket and laid at my feet.

Lots of great pics. What a day. From  Memory:
I see flags blowing in the wind giving a historical place exceptional structure
I see a school of little fish changing from visibility in a tree shadow to invisibility below reflections
I see a little green bug worshipping the sun in a super defined Crocus.

Lars, the last one look like a cat looking into the distance!
Thanks Akira - glad you noticed that. When I took the shot I thought it had a profile resembling an Egyptian sculpture of a dog or cat.

Lovely Spring flowers, Lars.
Thanks John - your back-lit Crocus' will be an inspiration next time :-)
