Very nice, the lamp is like a funicular cabin in the sky.

Hm, full moon. Now I know why my sleep is so restless. Nice image though, John.

I like the repetition. I would have preferred some more sharpness on the handle.

An inspired image, John!

Luc, this is a mouth-watering presentation of an envious workshop!  I could spend for a whole day there!

My contribution of today (or rather, late last light) is a close-up (m=0.52) of one of my cultures of Greater Duckweed Spirodela polyrhiza. Stored for the winter in a dark, cool room, the colony disintegrated in a myriad of winter buds (turions), some of which do develop into budding new plants ahead of time. Probably the ambient temperature is a trifle on the high side (+5C) for the population to enter true hibernation state. Whatever the underlying cause, the colony makes a nice motif for UV-induced fluorescence (UVIVF). The buffing plants have chlorophyll and fluoresces in red, whilst the turions are rich in starch and appear dark. There are some seeds of Meadow-Sweet Filipendula ulmaria floating around as well, plus one or two fronds of Least Duckweed Lemna minuta that managed to scrape through so far.

Nikon Z7, AFD Micro-Nikkor 60mm f/2.8, Nichia UV LED.

Birna, I love this "UV @polka-dot" image!

Feb. 8.  An IR image on a whim.  Sigma fp, 45/2.8 kit lens, Cokin Z007 resin filter (Wratten 89B or IR72 equivalent).  Excuse me for the hot spot and crude process!
