I could not enter enough Wows to express my appreciation of the images.

For the first image, i'd like even more noise in sky above the iceberg, i like the grittiness.

For the reflected aurora, which is a great image, perhaps you could make it more abstract by cropping out the left top corner, focusing more on the aurora reflection and the immediate background.

And like Elsa, i'd really like to go to Greenland once. It appears we have found our Mr. Tour guide

I wonder if the iceberg seen at the top left corner of the second image is the very same iceberg in the first one.

Not the same lump of ice Akira. They were some hundred kilometres apart.

Very striking photos!  #2 looks like a long exposure, yet also like an oblique aerial view.  Were you on a mountain across the fjord?  Magical to have the water so calm.  What time of year were you there? Please post more!  Cheers,  John

A little more info:
These images were made during a geological excursion in 2011 - led by the danish institute GEUS. Very professional people!
Needless to say we all had a blast. We encountered both musk ox, polar bear, hare, flying things, sail boat, and what have you. It is truly a magical part of the globe and the shear scale of things is breathtaking.
The images are all captured with a D3 and basically three lenses, the venerable 16/3.5 fisheye, the temperamental Ai-S 35/1.4 and the somewhat underdog one - 70-300/4.5-5.6 VR. The second and thirds pics were captured from our plane en route to our destination. More pictures to come.

Again, brilliant photos. Particularly like the second of these. But I know the atmospherics you've captured in the first and third and like those also.  Great to see not-blue-sky photos of the polar world!
