After the Leaves are down in B&W
« on: November 01, 2016, 19:30:51 »
Two images of the mountains behind our home after the leaves have fallen.  There were some wonderful days after storms where the clouds cooperated.  The gate was closed today for the winter.  The winter snows will start in earnest.  I am always fascinated how mountains create their own weather.

Thanks for looking.

The second one touches me due to the depth of the landscape feel. Wonderful.

Thanks for the comments Frank.  It takes me about 30 minutes to get from my front door to these spots.  For the second image, I was at home and saw the clouds just hanging on the mountain top, from the other side actually.  So I just grabbed my gear, got in my car and drove up.  Everything cooperated.  I used the red filter in SilverEffex Pro to get the sky to turn dark.  The sky was a really deep blue.  I like the effect.
