thank you Lars,

on #2 as always struggling to get this colour vivid magenta right
thats a challenge to get the colour of the Geranium psilostemon or armenum right,
which is like i mentioned a rich and vivid magenta with a black eye
cameras by themselves register a dull unsaturared blueish pink

It is soon time for peonies and for some of the red colored species I've always struggled to get a result that comes close to what I see - no real success yet. Probably lack of post processing skills for my part, but it seems rather tricky.
I photographed some wild orchids recently and they also have a tricky colour - maybe I should get a better colour reference card to at least have a more precise reference.

And slightly cold, the clothes indicate. What a nice beehive! It has become increasingly popular in Denmark to have bees.

Thanks Lars.  There is a whole story behind the Beehive.  The beekeeper got it as a present from a retired beekeeper, he had worked for the railway-company, and apparently it was built from old rail- wood. I think they are now working on the restoration of it.  Below a pic when he got the beehive.

John, lovely capture.

These smoke generators,- do you have a more detailed shot perhaps?
As a small boy I found them faszinating, there were some who had a spring driven fan in them.
Think about disassembling an old fashioned alarm clock and the seeing something more... useful  8)

Do these use bellows to blow the smoke at the bees?

I didn't get out today so here is an indoor shot - a Brassia orchid I have surprised me and have set a new flower stem. The plant didn't look healthy after an attack from pests so I didn't expect flowers.

John - thanks for posting that shot. A great story too. That fine bee hive certainly deserves a restoration!

Orchids remind me of insects. Very great shot. Are the colors
realistic or doctored?

Df voigtlander 125mm @ f/2.5

very sensitive shot. Not so in the face but more like a fine composed music playing in the background

Thanks Thomas.  I will ask the Beekeeper, I see him on a short notice. And ask for a photo :) I know he has a lot of stuff. Unfortunately I have no more details than the shot I just posted.

This is the beekeeper by the way.

Thanks Frank. The colours are pretty realistic - I've only adjusted levels and contrast. The flowers of this species does resemble big insects with long legs .. as you probably know, several orchids mimic insects in their flowers to attract males of certain species that are hoping for some "romance"  ;)

About your wine and coffee shot from yesterday .. is the coffe served in a cup from Utrecht or am I missing the point?

Impressive Buddy and Lars.

Thanks John .. really nice portrait of the bee keeper with raindrops etc. !
