It rained today.  Rain is always seems unusual around here, especially since we're in the fourth year of a drought.

For more than 100 years every Wednesday morning an special market is the center on the 'Besterdsquare' The market is specialised in wool and fabrics. This is still a reminder of the Woolcity, the equivalent name of Tilburg dating from the time in the 19th century with 200 active textile mills.

Even on a gray day it's colorful   ;)

If it smells like a rose ...

Lot of these ice flowers appeared overnight everywhere. It's -13 F (-25 C) today and the night was colder.

I am not a wildlife photographer, I am lacking the necessary lens and patience, I happened upon this blackbird ? enjoying the winter sun, I took a shot, moved closer, took another shot repeated this a couple of times before he flew away, I am posting my image with inset the full frame for comparison. D810 58 1.4 f3.2 @ 1/200th iso 400.
