I tried so many takes on this tree. This is the best by now. I feel I am 80% there.

What fascinates me about this tree is the enormous entanglement of the twigs, whe woolly appearance in summer almost like a sheep in green and yellow...

Taken as 12 pics with my AIS 4/200 Micro on D600, converted into BW using Nik HDR Efx, then curved and sharpend using Photoshop CC standard tools. The JPEG is 104 Megabyte and 105.6 Megapixels

My local river, still some unfrozen spots here and there despite -20C. Was shooting landscape, the curious bird following me was just a fortuitous addition. Slow shutter to get the wingtip movement since this is not a bird shot. D3S + 300/2.8VR + TC-20E III.
