Nice, modern repetitive patterns and brass shine (perhaps from the illumination?).

Thanks Thomas. It's a combination of reflection and illumination.  The whole building is designed as a ship, both external and interior. When entering these stairs it gives the feeling of 'landing' on the main deck on the way to check-out gates  ;)

The moving staircases were special when it opened in 1933.

Great find!
Are the wooden excalators still in use?
I thought they have been taken out of duty in most places due to fire risks.
