Jacques, allow me to quote an outstanding photographer and say that your image is outstanding!
The shadows are not straight, meaning that the background is curved, or who knows.... :)

Jakov, many thanks for the comments, it is very encouraging because at times I wonder if my image is seen as just a set of squares against a white backdrop !

Fons, I like the obvious barrel distortion. Very simplistic - minimalist.
Bjørn, surprises me yet again, not having a clue what it is or how it is achieved, but I love the contours and ancient blues.
Thomas, very artistic and inspirational, I will see if I have some paint lying around :)

thank you Jakov

Not at all. It has texture and depth. The separation from the -rounded?- wall plus the inclination of the light source gives the curve shadows a graphic rhythm  in crescendo that I find exquisite.

Very intriguing Jakov. Is it touching a window?

Nope, it's just out of focus that way.

The advantage of sharp lenses is you can make unsharp pictures with them if you so wish. Unsharp lenses, on the other hand, cannot make sharp photos.

Back on track, one of my earlier attempts at nature photography. Pictures from this series won me several prizes back in the ancient history of film. I must have been younger then?
