Wow, wow, wow, wait a minute!
Erik, Jacques, Bjørn, Tom, give me a moment here.
I need some time to process these images and get around them :)
Please give me some insights and share some knowledge with me :)

Jakov: I shoot my neighbour's picket fence ever so often when I fetch my little red car from its garage. An early morning shot deep into the winter. 28 mm f/2.8 Nikkor, Fuji S3 Pro.

The 'green on green' image was captured with a D70 and a Russian 500 mm f/5.6 lens aptly named B.I.G. (no, it's not a joke). The subject is leaves of Common Reed (Phragmites australis).

Bjork, I really like the snow and picket fence image.  The tones are captivating, and am amused by the fence poking out of the snow.  Makes me imagine it is the spine of some fantastical skeleton!

The combination of long lenses and winter scenes is a reliable recipe for getting minimalistic images.

Here the sun is setting on a lake not yet entirely frozen over, despite the -25C air temperature that day. Open water and calm cold weather guarantee a lot of fog to soften the overall impression of the scene.

Nikon D3S, Nikkor 800 mm f/8 ED in focusing adapter AU-1. Straight off the camera.

Sorry - did I do anything wrong? The 800 was my weapon of choice for that day because I did a test drive of the high-ISO capabilities of the D3S.  At 51200 ISO, I needed f/64 :D

It's always nice to have a pedestrian crossing at your work place.
