« on: December 28, 2020, 16:03:16 »
Saw these four AI(s) Nikkor lenses sold by same seller...

  • 1:1.2/50mm Nikkor
  • 1:2.5/105mm Nikkor
  • 1:2.8/55mm Nikkor
  • 1:4.5/105mm Nikkor

Would you pay EUR1.000 for it??

The bottom lens 105/4.5 probably meant to be 105mm f/4 or is it the uv lens? that should be interesting!

I was sure, you would see that! Yes, hence why I offered that seller a good price for the set!  ;-)

What is so special about that lens?

Look here, most on my site is done with that special quartz/fluorite UV lens http://uvir.eu

Basically it is about this, making the (for us) invisible UV (300-400nm), visible (as we see only 400-750nm)!

The UV "Nikkor" has long been discontinued but it is still available from Tochigi Nikon as "UV 105" on order.  When I inquired about the price several years ago, it was about 5,000 USD brand new.
