Pork belly (Norwegian: svineribbe, ribbe)  is the most common traditional cuisine for Christmas here in my country. It is enjoyed by at least 60% of the population. Such popularity leads to numerous articles and manuals on 'how-to' do it correctly, of course. In later years, a 'ribbe'-dedicated slow-TV channel is devoted to the process. In real time whilst carols are played (via an old-fashioned record player) and there is an endless spate of 'ribbe'-dedicated insights and tid-bits for the enthusiast. For example, what happens to the proteins of the fleshy parts at various temperatures. There is real time update on temperatures and a graphic presentation of the temperature-time curve. And there is a camera inside the oven to provide the viewers with the current appearance of the dish.

How Norwegian. Merry Christmas to everyone out there, whether or not you enjoy this peculiar dish :)

I did a snapshot of the TV screen with my newly acquired Df (#2) and the Voigtländer 58mm f/1.4 lens.

Nice looking keyboard. Which one is it? At first I thought it would be the Anne Pro, or the Glorious GMK, but it obviously is neither of those.

I want to send some seasonal greetings to you all. Our christmas elf is ready for duty
You and your family all the greetings too.  New Dog?  ;)

Last sun set seen in a long while. Daytime in my neck of the woods is getting extremely short now and we can only hope for brighter days and a better future ahead.

Df, CV 40mm f/2 SL.2.

(my "spare" extra Nikon Df has been shuttling to and fro Norway-Japan for a month or so. Norwegian Customs tossed it out immediately, after 1 hr (!), apparently for no reason, so the camera was sent back to Japan, where it did the rounds, then shipped anew to me. After a month, I finally got a super-clean sample of a black Df to join the others. Norwegian Customs this time forgot all about import duty and VAT. Good on me).

I don’t usually photoshop huge red bows onto my photos, but when I do, it is usually Christmas.

We had another snowy dusting - only temporarily it seems. Nothing apparently lasts this winter :(

It snowed a lot then rained a lot then got warm then froze.  Nothing much lasting around here.
