Anthony, is there someway that the thoughts of the NG group can be passed onto Mike's family on our behalf?

Sad news, my condolences to his family.

Anthony, thank you for taking this hard role to forward the sad news.

I would have liked to hear Mike directly complaining the color of my images looking too dull.  Maybe in the next life...

I am very sad to read this and expressing my condolences. Mike G was the first contact i came into longer discussion with on the old Nikongear site. Good that he had at least some time to enjoy his new Nikon Z lineup.

I sent a copy of your tributes to Mike's daughter Rachel.

This is her response.

Hi Anthony,

Thank you, they are lovely comments, I will share them with my family.
Please pass on my thanks to everyone who sent condolences, reading them I could imagine my dad and picture him.
I have seen Dave, the cat a few times on my visits to the house while we are sorting things out, I can only think he’s wondering where the guy that used to feed him is, we have still been putting food out for him.
I don’t know what Dad’s fascination with the mini was but going through his computer there are a great many pictures of them, we were wondering why, now I know he liked to share them on the forums, I know one of his favourite films was The Italian Job.

Kind regards

Rachel

Thank you for sharing this very sad news. It puts everything that happens today into perspective.
In a way, it is good to know that Mike will remain among us via his posts. I did not know him but from from his posts I learned that he must have been a really nice guy and contributor.
The last half year must have been a very difficult period for him, his family and friends. Despite the darkness, I do hope they were able to enjoy what matters most. I am sure his faith helped him.
May he be remembered for who he was and rest in peace.
Peter
