1090g and 89,5 x 150mm; it IS big. Bigger (longer) and heavier than the Sony 135mm f/1.8 (SEL135F18GM)...

Yes it's 600 grams heavier than the 50mm Z f/1.8 - But a full kilo less than the 50mm f/0.95 
The little relatively little f/1.8 does separation quite well and is capable of some amazing blur circles and both front and rear Bokeh.
Let's see how much more the f/1.2 can better that and the price point is more than tippled,,,

It's always difficult to compare between brands and focal length, but yes a substantial size!
It's comparable in size and weight to Zeiss Otus 55mm f/1.4 which is only f/1.4 and MF so I think that the engineers did a great job at Nikon!

Getting rid of the mirror box was a golden opportunity for introducing short, light, symmetric designs. Instead, more or less systematic retrofocus design and all sorts of aberrations corrections (useful ?) add weight and bulk.

Of course, the result looks nice and marketable; unfortunately, I'm in another niche.

I completely agree that there must come some native Nikkors that have smaller size and less weight as design target, I have however a feeling it will take many years for them to emerge.

For some applications perfect IQ is nice - but not all, agreed!

As of today absolutely no size benefit from adopting Mirrorless design - Neither for camera or lens

Small is beautiful but no substitute for cubic inches as they say.
One route to get small and fast on the Z cameras is via MF lenses originally intended for short flange/film plane distances.
Otherwise, we seem to be stuck with long-depth-of-field options only.

The compact zooms are really not up to top standard, yes they are seemingly doing very good, but on the count of firmware corrections, it's too much for my liking - Similar to the Leica Q distortion corrections.
Also I bought into the Z system as an addition to my F-Mount lenses, not to replace the D850 and lenses- The Z6 and Z7 build in VR and viewfinder adds something not always possible with DSLR

Yes, there are so many nice lenses out there to play with on the Z!
However the film plane in the Z cameras are so far forward in the body that there is a huge size disadvantage compared to say a Leica M system.
