Birches are breaking buds and exhibiting copious amounts of pollen-loaded catkins.  Not a good time to be outdoors for a hyperallergic Birna. Just sneaking out for a quick shot, then driving rapidly home to the inhaler device.

300mm f/4.5 Nikkor ED (non-IF), D600 full-spectrum. The spring colours are pastel-like.

bewitching.

Instead of the disappointing Z6 (LifePixel) I put the full-spectrum D600 into use today. The lens was the 105/1.4E, which does work for emulated false-colour IR, however has a tendency for developing a diffuse hotspot. That issue didn't crop up here, though.

alien attack?

First shots with the Nikkor 500mm f/5.6 PF:

Yesterday sundown, view from my room of the Jura
Nikon D850
Nikkor 500.0 mm f/5.6 PF
ƒ/8.0  500.0 mm 1/500s ISO 180

I didn't notice significant flare, which is often blamed on Fresnel optics.

Scandinavia as a region has few endemic species, thanks to its history of being recently glaciated. One of these endemics is Arabidopsis suecica Swedish Rock-Cress, particular to Sweden as its specific epithet suggests. It is slowly extending its range out from its initial core areas in Sweden and has crossed the border to Norway. Being little competitive, it typically thrives on open sandy soils along railway embankments and road verges. As I'm now live quite close to the Swedish border, A. suecica is one of the earlier spring flowers around here. Still a rarity in the district, but I know about its hiding places :D
