a first try of the infamous D850 negative scanning function is far from satisfactory

Went to the Dallas Zoo for a bit of the cheap 'Penguin Days' admission they have every year during down winter months.  Caught the lioness stretching out for a zookeeper.

This forlorn little fellow was penned up in the yard, all by himself. He is however wearing a warm winter coat.

I like this very idyllic and somewhat humorous image.  :)

Moments of sunshine this afternoon after a couple of weeks of snow and rain.  A construction barge coming through the Locks into Lake Union.  Ship owners have a good eye for colour.   Cheers,  John

February 18.  It was a bit warmer during the daytime, and more Japanese plums bloomed.

Akira, Your lovely Plum Blossoms are very inviting to this winter weary denizen of Connecticut. They don't appear here until April. Tokyo is at 35 degrees north and we are at 41-  yet such a differences as to when flowers bloom.

Also thanks for commenting about my little friend peering through the fence. It amused me too, but also made me feel a bit sorry to see him so situated on a cold winter day.
