Members might have noticed I'm not as industrious a contributor as before. The reasons are of course complex, but not necessarily imply I'm tired of photography. Not at all, as a matter of fact. However, my project contract with the Norwegian ministry of Environment has been renewed and I'm busy documenting all those small and elusive plants found in our aquatic environment. Not very inspirational work, but it certainly brings in the required money.
This is the setup for high-magnification studies. Camera is the D810 and the lens in this case a Mitutoyo 5X. My old, faithful Gossen microflash died end of last years season, but I managed to locate a Novoflex fibreoptical device that by and large does the same job although with less 'flair' than my old lighting companion. Just press the Stackshot start button and let technology do the rest, I'd guess.
