Thanks Fons !
John, thank you for your insight in the 5,8cm vs. the Voigtlander. I thought long and hard about buying the Voigtlander, because I'm looking for a more modern fast 50mm' ish lens to use for subjects I would not want to photograph with the 55mm f1,2, or subjects I want to explore beyond my ordinary repertoire of tricks (not many of those around, but as the saying goes: Verandering van spijs doet eten. In english, variety is the spice of life)
I understand, very wise ;).  Perhaps the word 'better' is not correct, it's subjective too. The Voigtlander and the 5.8cm are two different lenses but somehow have some similarity.

The plane of focus is very thin with the Voigtlander which makes focus wide open very crucial, comparable with the f/1.2 lenses.   The corners are better with the Voigtlander were the 5.8cm  corners are weaker, but wide open, that is not so very important for me. A good part of 'vignetting' fits the lens. To my surprise focus with the 5.8cm is very easy. Both lenses are super sharp all over the frame from f/2.8 onwards.  But the Voigtlander  filter thread of 58mm is not so very convenient, giving less satisfactory results with the 3T and 4T

Still very dry.

According to our city-beekeeper it's a bad year of the Lime (Linden) blossom honey.  The blossom dried and did not give much nectar for the bees. Hopefully the heather honey will be better, my favourite because it is not so sweet.

Normally this field is as green as grass....

Frank, politics and psychology again? Made me smile, and it also made me want to take part in the conversation. I would say that this is about the perfect time for a coffee though. No picture from me today. Let's see what tomorrow has in store

No, Buddy, it was just a feeling after the rain and wind that brought temperatures down to bearability...

I do a lot of slide scans currently. This one I took yesterday and edited it.

The Eastern side of the wall

Shortly after the Berlin Wall fell I visited the famous "Glienicker Brücke". The concrete rolls are part of the ex wall, the "Trabant" car is the sign of the east, the side where I stand taking the picture, the bridge is what I focussed on. Slide scan with D600 and Buddy's contraption! Original Pjhoto taken with my FM-2n and the 1.4/50 Ai

Focusing screen installed in the d700. What a wonderful experience! I was able to focus yesterday with the 58mm 1.4 fully open in dim light. Using it today with the 105mm 2.8 @ 5.6... I had to use one of the clear frames to adjust for a slight back focus but everything is ok so far. The whole conversion, at 3am, sleepy and whithout experience took just a few minutes.
Sorry for the crappy phone shot, I hope it gives you an idea.
