#14 with a 28mm..? I hope you had a helmet too :-)
LOL ... it was a bet that I couldn't shoot football with a wide angle. News photogs are always having stupid contests amongst ourselves.
You won that bet, at some risk to your personal health!

I am terribly competitive. At the time, we, (fellow news photogs and I), were betting at how close and how long ... how many games, I could go before getting knocked down. I can't find the image, but there is a shot of me, straight as a flagpole, bent at the neck, shooting straight down with a wide-receiver literally lying on my feet. I did a lot of twisting and side stepping during those games ... similar to a matador. I finally got knocked down when a female photographer fell down behind me while running away from oncoming linebackers. At the time I was backing up, quickly walking backwards and didn't see her prone body behind my knees and down I went.

Great action American Football up in the air

The scale is impressive. Space travel. How strange is that?
You are out there. You and your camera. You can shoot or not shoot as you please. Discover the world, Your world. Show it to us. Or we might never see it.

Thank you Frank. That thing is big ... like the size of a small apartment building. Just to conceive and think that it is possible to design, build and launch an apartment building into space ... successfully ... is beyond my imagination. I covered a lot of the early Space Shuttle landings. The first Shuttle that was launched into space was was the Columbia. I vividly remember being in the Edwards AFB cafeteria and noticing some gentlemen walking by, each wearing patches on their jackets identifying them as members of "Rockwell - Space Division". I thought to myself ... most countries in the world don't even have a "Space Division" ...

We used to do all kinds of stupid stuff. The group of news photogs I ran with had a low threshold for boredom.  ;)

I've been inside one.   ;D

(PS- It's a spaceship. What fascinated my imagination was the shuttles rocketed into the heavens with the most powerful engines in the world ... yet floated back to Earth without any power at all.)
