I took so many pictures today but I am too tired to even browse them. Good night.

September 23rd  Sunny, will be a warm weekend.

Well Frank, unpumped and natural should not be too difficult.  ;) This is a completely unedited RAW from the Df.  Resized in Bicubic - Smooth gradients  to 1200.
The second one is edited to my liking ( at the moment)

Frank and John, which Picture Control do you use?  I use "Flat" and with the sharpening set to "zero".

Picture control, Akira?  That's the in-camera setting for jpg's, not?  I took directly the NEF and loaded it into ACR 16 bit- (all settings to 0) and resized in CC.

John, if I understand correctly, the NEF itself is not affected by the Picture Control settings, but ACR will open and display the NEF according to the Picture Control settings.

I just found that my ACR has been set to "Adobe Standard" in the "Camera Profile" pull-down menu under the camera icon tab.

What is your settings in your camera and in ACR?

No, not really. That's actually impossible in ACR. It's probably overwritten by the camera-profile, I guess.    Anyway, in-camera Profile I just have the Standard and sharpening set at 9.

ACR has Adobe Standard, but it's overwritten with camera settings, I think.

In ACR the file opens always with Color Space: ProPhoto RGB  in 16 bits

I only use ACR through Lightroom, but camera profiles certainly do affect raw files. Normally when I import raw files recently in my case Fuji RAF files the camera profile is set to Adobe Standard! When I change to Provia Standard there is definitely a change on screen!

It has been quite a while since I imported an NEF file! so I can't remember how they were affected.

My NEF file seems to be opened under Adobe Standard, regardless of the camera setting, which I never noticed!

I think Mike is experiencing the same behavior of ACR...

Yes, so ACR opens neutrally without any In-Camera profiles, as it should.  A Raw file cannot have any pre-settings which just apply to view in the camera.

Akira that is right, I haven't found a setting to open a file(s) using a camera setting so I have to change the profile whilst editing! Of course an in camera profile will only affect a jpeg file!

Just have to remember to change it while in edit mode!
