Buddy. The perception of quality content varies very much with the qualification of the participants in the forum. Many people like sunsets and many people like cats and dogs. Only very few can tell tge difference between mediocre or exceptional design.

That is very true, and in a dog forum or car forum I would expect readers to prefer photos of dogs and cars. But in photography groups I would expect people to primarily focus on the photography aspect. And that is where I make my first mistake. Expectations. I should just discard them ;)

Kristina and Lumi want to say "thank you" to everyone who replied to the last photo she posted

Special for Lars, the Indian Pokeweed, and special for Frank- completely un-edited.

Thanks to the posts of Klaus regarding the projection lenses , with the 15 euro Leica Colorplan 90/2.5 on the D600.

Lovely rendering on that Leica lens John. Does the way you mount it allow any focusing? Or is it a fixed focus distance?

Frank

Daily life:  Rollerskates, Headscarfs and ??  I guess you mean those tattoo's?

Thanks Buddy and Frank.

Made a quick setup when receiving the lens yesterdag. Goal was to have the largest focus distance.  The inner tube thread of the Leica is about 38,5mm, used a step-up ring from 39mm to 52mm and taped it to a cheap and thin BR-2 to get the Nikon mouth. So this is fixed now at about 1 meter.

There are two further options: connecting this with a moving helicoid in F-mouth, so that does allow focussing, but only get you closer.
But in the lens, there is room to shave some 1 to 1,5 cm to get directly to the back lens. If a different connection is made directly in the moving helicoid, and having the F-mouth,  there should be more flexibility. It is  a bit comparable with  the solution Klaus uses as explained on his website.

Two photo's, one is compared with the Nikkor 28/3.5 AI to have an idea of the size ;)
