Nice series, Harald.  The 35-70mm f3.3-4.5 Ai-S isn't bad at all, I like the lens, very small, nice macro-possibilities, and good details stopped down.

August 26. A very hot day. Somewhat inspired by Fons' nice graphic shot - the evening sunlight revealing the structures in my old worn living room floor. Analog Efex Pro.

Is it normal when the aperture does not close totally at 25mm?

Yes.  Most Nikon zooms that I have seen do this...even the new ones...apparently closing the aperture at the short end of the zoom is needed to make it a 'constant aperture' zoom.  Look through the lens and zoom it...You'll see the aperture close and open as it zooms.

Do they have Wisent herds roaming free in that area? Knowing my luck I would end up in the middle of the herd, like with these wild horses
