Lot of great shots… I particularly like Bruno’s “Stokstraatwartier .. Station” shot - marvelous.
Peter’s portraits are awesome.
Frank’s “a singer, a band, friends” - what a lovely shot!! Beautiful colors. Was it your 35/1.4?

Buddy. I bought a FM2 again. Now some slide film and I  am back to my roots if I want!

Congratulations on finding your roots as well as one of the finest mechanical cameras ever made.
Kristina now owns my old FM2, but I still have an FM, two F's, an F2 and an F3 ;)

The red dot 1965 F I had with me sees the most use these days. The camera just inspires to take pictures. Thinking of the camera now just gave me inspiration for a staged photo. More on that later today in a different thread ;)

Yes :)  I even have a shot when you are shooting.  The Angenieux doesn't look too bad among the 58/1.4.   Did you like the Raw-file?

At first sight the differences are not huge. I compared 2 shots of Hans from the samen angle and distance as well as distance to the background, although one was in portrait, the other in landscape. 58mm taken f4 and the Angenieux at f2.5. The Angenieux seems to be a bit more contrasty. The 58 separated the subject (Hans) better. The bokeh looked somewhat nicer, perhaps due to the contrast differences. The 58 seemed sharper but that may have been me misfocusing the Angenieux.

Having said that, I think the Angenieux is an incredible lens! If I can get one at a reasonable price, I will buy it instantly and get rid of the Nikon 35-70 AF-D. It is an amazing lens.

Obviously at 1.4 the 58mm is tough to beat by any lens in overall IQ.

Thanks, John :)

Here is a selfie dedicated to BEZ :)

A church of red stone from which John and I got thrown out as if we were bandits :)

And the rainbow crossing that can also be found in Tilburg...

At this point I figured out that I would annoy Akira because I was only making images with a circular fish-eye. It must be inertia from Scotland that kicked in...

Jakov, I'm not annoyed to see your fishy images.  Rather I enjoy them, especially the one of your love affair with Frank.  ;D

By the way, I'm sorry to know that my concern when you had visited Utrecht came true in Maastricht...   :o :o :o

Akira, now that I know that you like my fish-eye shots, let me continue with some of the book store located in a church :)
Frank and I were well aware of the controversy that we would be facing!

It is really nice to enter a church to buy a book written by Stephen King, or an LP vinyl of Led Zeppelin, or mugs covered in feminine sayings, etc.

Jakov, that seems to be a luxury use of a gorgeous church.  Is the bookshop a permanent one, or is it open just for some special occasion?
