Bruno, the Rodenstock looks as though it is fitted with a shutter, if it is, would you use the leaf shutter or the focal plane shutter from preference?

I shoot a lot with Large Format lenses and the D600 as my back (and D3 before) and prefer the in camera shutter for flexibility. See. You have to fully open the camera shutter to be able to use the leaf shutter. The whole contraption has to be extremly light proof therefore. You will probably see the vibration of the shutter in the final frame, also the cable release has to go somewhere. Afterwards you have to remember to close the camera shutter before your next exposure.

With in camera shutter you can use life view & Tethering & Mirror Up & IR-Release & Bracketing ... Much better Routine!

Chip. What is wrong with the water? Why does the green not extend to the shore?

Frank, this is an artificial reservoir in Northern CA.  Water levels are significantly down due to drought, so lots of exposed areas that are normally under water.  It is a pity about the water shortage, but the end result is interesting to look at.  The exposed banks have an orange-red color that is very striking!

Three former work mates along with myself meet for a ' I remember when ... ' breakfast, standing on the pavement chatting after the food this young lady without any provocation seemed to think the gesture was appropriate for four grey heads !

My entry for the 3rd of February.

Yesterdy I came by our city hall shortly after the sun had setteled. The sky was deep blue and all windows in our city hall were lit. Great time for ISO 50 and more than one second of moving the camera over the light field, grazing impressions...
