UPS freighter headed for Boeing Field, taken through the bare winter branches of a convenient tree.  D850 with the ever-dependable 300 f/4 plus 1.4 TC.  Cheers,  John

The seller must be hoping that someone buys and properly restores it. It’s a classic, and I hope so too. It looks like it’s not beyond repair.

BMW Manrique

Cicar is repeating the 1990 initiative featuring BMW -Art Car Collection-, in which the artist César Manrique was commissioned to paint that year’s BMW 730i model. The original design has been adapted for application to vehicles of the current model BMW 740i.

B&W suits the subject well I feel.  A sad end to a wonderful old lady.

A Dino Ferrari, with owner and admirers gathered round.
Some of the other cars here today had barely 10k on the clock as the owners are terrified of using them on the open road :(

Thank you Hugh.
This one was not too old when she was "lost". In 1942 it was being flown the 1700km from Perth to Broome, the pilot overshot Broome by some 600+km and ran out of fuel!

If you are an avid model train collector, nothing beats extending your own apartment with a genuine locomotive :)

(found this in my archive when looking for something else, but too good not to be shared??)

Another find from the same (vintage) era. Apparently yellow paint was in the vogue at that period of time since the background looks suspiciously similar, however this photo was shot around 25km away from the 'train-in-the-wall' picture.

In some cultures, being called a "trainspotter" is a bit of an insult.
I think the owner of this place knows exactly what they like

(definitely too good not to be shared Birna!)
