Yes, I was expecting it to be quite bulky.
Does it cover the FX format or are you using the F mount as an intermediate stage with further adapters?

EDIT: I now found the thread on fotozones, it's a long thread response to a question by Bez on how to adapt a Rayxar lens and also contains images. We might consider reposting it here as I think it is very valuable, unless this breaches any contracts.

No, should be reposted. Problem might only be if it is hidden behind some kind of paywall. Put the link here and I'll investigate. As BEZ is a member here on NG and I wrote the stuff there should be no infringement involved.

All those 'X-ray' and image intensifier/relay tandem lenses do cover the usual formats up to FX as they increase the projected image circle when the lens is pushed outside its designed conjugate parameters.

Thanks. Will do.

Now, back to that dreadful bimonthly VAT returns. I think I'll do the final accounting while watching "Der Untergang" on streamed TV. A suitable combination of terms so to speak.

Please do, BEZ. Start a new thread. Probably best in the Nerd board? As it deals with modifications and suchlike stuff.

I just fitted my Rayxar to the Sony A7 and will attempt to get something out of this combination  in the near future.

I will start a new thread later  ....I mostly use mine now with my fuji's and the lens is much closer to the sensor than with my D800. But I lose some of the dreamlike qualities the lens has on the Nikon.

Hi Bez,
Thanks for joining the discussion.
I already sent the fragments that Bjørn wrote to him, I think with your help we can reconstruct the discussion.
Thanks for the offer to bring the lens. If it's no burden for you to bring it, it would of course be interesting to play around with it.
Meanwhile, my lens (Oude Delft 65/0.75) arrived. At 50$, it was a real bargain I couldn't pass up, even though I had by no means been looking specifically to buy such a lens. Most likely, I won't have a mounting solution ready until the Scotland meeting.
A quick grab shot, I included the Nikon 50/1.2 AI-s, the next fastest lens I have, for size comparison:

Yes, the amount of glass per $ is quite amazing, usually with fast glass you only get a fraction of a gram per $.

I have to say that whenever I searched for something on NG by using the search box I succeeded :)

I have given up local search and do search with google site search.

As is takes load off the site I recommend to replace local search with google site search. Also good for google ranking.

After the lovely one has done her taxes...

Proof of concept. The Rayxar 65 mm f/0.75 mounted on a Sony NEX-3. My alternate experimental Sony body, compliments from Jan Anne by the way.

Just a snapshot of the earlier photo posted by Simone, using the Rayxar/NEX-3 setup, handheld.. The lens casing is probably near pristine when it is removed from the device holder.
