Super-Speed, F1.2 and Faster.
« on: March 28, 2016, 11:55:16 »
Thought it would be fun to put up pictures taken with Fast lenses. I have a couple of those, Nikon F-Mount and Leica Mount.

50mm F1.1 Nokton, Wide-Open: (ignore the camera's "estimated" F-Stop, there is no linkage between the lens and the camera for aperture.)

These are my kind of photos :)
Unfortunately, I don't have any super-speed f/1.2 and faster lenses to contribute...

Agree, great topic.

The front of the canon image looks like all around it is melting ...

Fallen autumn leaf on water. Oude Delft 65 mm f/075.

This is an example of the inherent 3-D effect of the superfast lenses. Their entrance pupil is so large that the subject might be viewed under different perspectives.

Great idea for a themed topic :)

Here's two images with the two f/1.2 lenses I own.

Another example of the 3-D effect. Winter rose (Hellebore) with the Repro-Nikkor 85 mm f/1 @ f/1.

Jakov has the 100 mm f/1.6 which of course is "slow" ...

The classic superspeed lens, Rodenstock Heligon 50 mm f/0.75.

By the way, don't try to follow my example unless you are well aware of what you are doing, as this can be dangerous to your eyesight. No kidding.
