I went, I saw and because they actually had stock i purchased one :-) All seems to be working as expected, I moved all my image files from my old machine to my raid backup drives and then used the migration assistant feature to transfer all my programs and settings to the new machine, I was pleasantly surprised that everything worked perfectly taking approx 45 minutes, I had to sign out of Photoshop on the old machine and re sign in on the new machine, this was an area I had a small problem 4 years ago on my previous machine upgrade. Initial impression. performance seems to be as i expected, the machine is slightly smaller with narrower bezels around the screen, slightly lighter in weight, the larger trackpad is taking a bit of time to get used too as i am making unintentional commands due to not keeping my fingers clear. Two ' dongles ' were purchased to allow connection to my original version Thunderbolt external hard drives and my USB3 card reader, The keyboard is a bit firm with muted sound when typing, a bit like gently tapping on a cardboard box !
