I realized my error in the meanwhile - sorry (changed my post already).
The breed of my little dog is "White Swiss Shephard" (Berger Blanc Suisse).

Pets are such a wonderful enrichment of a family life.
Unfortunately, their life expectancy is shorter than that of humans.
I guess, many of us had to endure the feeling of sorry, the challenge to say "Good bye", the mourning and the fond memories of their participation in our life.

About a year ago, we had this challenging phase (again), when our dog was about to leave us forever.
The whole family was sitting on the floor around his favorite place while he passed peacefully away.

This is a terrific thread. I am really impressed by some of the action shots.

Here is a snapshot of Mocha, unfiltered. The photo was made with my new full spectrum converted Sony A7R. A mix of visible and infrared wavelengths (from the room lamp) was recorded. The IR causes a slight softening of detail.

Kitty Mocha must have moved slightly on the day her nose stripe was applied. You can see the result is slightly off center. And there is only white under her right eye and on the right side of her mouth. She has an endearing "kooky kitty" look sometimes with the little half-smile and decentered nose stripe. We think Mocha has very long whiskers.

A quick snapshot with the iPhone of Beer cleaning up the leftovers of a burglar

Beer is getting beefier each day, from eating a ton of proper food but also from the freedom of movement on the property.

Removed his belt so his protective "mane" has a chance to grow and thicken properly, he starts to look like a male lion now
