Bill, I think abandoned pets are sadly a problem in most western countries. And yep they do get to ya don't they!

Took some pictures of Jasper while I had her out for a walk today.  The irridescence of her scales is hard to capture!  All with Nikkor 50mm f/1.2 Ai-s + 5T

In memory of my faithful friend Magnum, who passed just over a year ago. We adopted him just before our daughter was born, he was about 70 lbs then and was about 140 lbs (63.5 kg) at his max. These pictures track along my photography evolution - a borrowed D70, then my first D70s (2 shots), then D300, and finally Df!

The shadow that has lent itself to Jasper make a exceptional image, presenting Jasper with much allure.
Interestingly this seems to be the Human interpretation of a Snakes powers for milenia.

Jasper is also a mineral, and I think that fits with the snake which looks a lot like a Boa constrictor.

Beautiful specimen either way, and very well captured! I should take some decent pictures of our two Boas some day

Jasper the Boa Constrictor has got my attention,
I have a past that has had me as a Snake Owner
I was lucky to know very knowledgeable breeders
with Skills in Morphs.
I don,t recall morphs common in Boa Constrictors,
this has prompted me to have a browse to see the
Variants.
Is Jasper a Super Hypo Morph ?
