Beautiful Thomas.

Perhaps the title of this one can be 'In search of autumn, 2016'
[...]
Thanks.
An April day perhaps a little on the rainy side?

Matthew,
this is a very nice result. Do you have a pic how your setup looks like?

It's a pretty simple rig.  It's a former Konica microscope adapter with a Nikon flange transplanted (note the hand made arrow for mounting), into which one can put basically anything that fits.  The lenses in this case are from a multi-lens turret used for typesetting.  The lenses vary in focal length and F stop but the less powerful ones can be used hand held.  The one used for this is one of the smallest, giving about 1:1.3 magnification, with an f stop I'd estimate at something around 6.

There's no focus adjustment, of course, so one just moves the camera, but the rig is so light and easily swung around that it's surprisingly easy to work in decent light, or with the built in flash when reflection is not a problem.

Thank you very much, Matthew.
That helps a lot to explain what one has to do when trying to expand the gear capabilities.

Thomas, you caught them the tulips at the right moment of blooming :)

Although we had a mild winter (resulting in an over abundance of certain bug life) the spring here has been cooler than normal.  Consequently, we are just now seeing some of the blooming that in other years would have already peaked and declined.

A trip around the RV park pond found only a few plants in bloom.

The pond lilies are breaking out and responded to the full daylight sun and then re-furl by mid afternoon.

Regards,
Bill Oliver

I'm feeling flattered ;) Nice ones. 'Virgin White' - is that how they are really called?
I call them 'snow white' because they are the last of the daffodils to bloom when the frost is gone and their whiteness reminds of the barely passed winter.
