Bruno, this is a pleasant image.  I'm really curious about the origin of the name of the butterfly.
Thanks Akira. I didn't know but was also intrigued and had to look.  It was already known under this name in 1762. Apparently, the name comes from its color. In middle age, this mix of colors was called the color of the "devil with a cold". The wild wing shape was also said to be cut "devil's way". It was then associated with another devil connection: the name of a 13th century legendary hero, Robert le diable.

Bruno, thanks for the explanation!  This is a fascinatingly diabolic background of the name of this humble little critter...

The Camel and the Jackdaws.

In a field nearby some exotic animals are found, one of them is a Camel. It's springtime, and the Jackdaws are looking for nesting-material I guess   ;)

Some really fresh nesting material for those Jackdaws :) Coinsidently, my dogs worst sheading period, is correlated with the nest building period of the local Tits. They of course take advantage of the situation.

Today I found my neighbourhood totally engulfed in dense, wet fog. So I shot this damp, dreary harbinger of spring from my actual work station, without leaving the chair. Perfect conditions for a nature photographer, if I might say so.

As the house has triple-glazed window panes, it is well-nigh impossible to avoid reflections. But at least I can hint at what lens was used ....

The reflection ended up sharper than the subject. Well done :)

I thought I posted it here in this thread yesterday, but obviously didn't. here it is.

The garden, a never ending source of delightful visuals. Also the AW1 is becoming my friend as an expansion for already well proven lenses.

Beautiful Thomas.

Perhaps the title of this one can be 'In search of autumn, 2016'
