Santorini, 2015. Same spot - midday vs evening.
D200, 18-200 VR II

Anirban, it's great to know the D200 is still going strong.  The CCD imager shows a certain character.

Thank you Akira. D200 is lying in the cabinet for the time-being while I'm currently experimenting with Fuji.  :)

Bergen by night.
This is the second largest city in Norway and its citizens regard it as so special they claim "they don't come from Norway, they come from Bergen". At least their language and peculiar grammar support this notion.
The structure of all the buildings (especially the high rise ones) look so similar. Is that a tradition or regulation?
The glass wall of the viewing area makes me nervous.  :) Beautiful view and a beautiful photo.

Combination of traditional architecture and building material I'd guess.

The vertical drop at this vantage point is not extreme, just a few hundred metres. You arrive there by funicular.

Another Dubai view. Everything is on a grand scale and advertising has a defined twist compared to what Europeans might expect.

Some interesting captures  here.

The high rise trend has caught on in Oslo. This is part of a residential seaside area called Barcode

Thanks for commenting Bjørn.

Here are some more views, this time from the seaside with AW1.

The Opera region.

And Barcode next to it, still being constructed as these were captured 8 months before the previous ones.

Even more residential areas emerging as areas are freed from industrial harbor activity.

Some seaside industrial areas still remain though.
