On a whim I flipped over a chunk of salt and this is what I found. The second shot is just to give some context—miles and miles of salt and the underside probably looks like this through all of it. Pretty remarkable.

I think the larger cubes were probably around a centimeter...I should have taken a shot with a coin or something for reference.
