# ...one day in FRANKFURT
« on: June 17, 2015, 23:40:17 »
Thank you to Chris, Thomas and Andreas for the invite to Germany ....their incredible generosity was heart warming

It was an absolute pleasure to meet and spend time with everyone on the trip. Special mention to my room-mate frank, who I had a holiday bromance with  :)

I intend to share some images here from my one day in FRANKFURT

Cheers
Bez

This is lovely.
(a shame about the label on the right but even so - lovely)

Nice b/w with good contrast. Crop on the right hand side up to the vertical window frame to get rid of the label and the tall buildings.

Good images can become even better by including small "imperfections". We need a feeling of being alive rather than being perfect. Life itself is far from perfect.

Lew, Long time no see, great to see you here.

Thank you both for your comments, but I politely disagree. The sticker says don't touch (or similar) and absolutely makes the shot for me.

Cheers

Hello Bjørn,
My last post crossed with yours .....I agree but in this instance I saw and wanted the sticker in the frame

Bez,

This is a wonderful image as is.  The environment makes the image!

I have come back to this shot several times and each time, my vision remains the same.  The frames within frames, the unbalanced foreground, and the kiss- and then I look immediately to the right, and there it is.  It simply makes my heart dance a bit.

Nicely done. This just shouts romance and real and all the things we felt when we were young. Thank you for sharing.

It is forum nature to give personal opinions. One can pull any image apart and comment on how "we" would have done it. And often that would make the image "better" -  technically and aesthetically perfect. But we don't shoot perfect, we shoot with more of an emotional eye. And we have artistic license.

My comment would be that the couple is too centred. Is my comment even valuable here? probably not.
I know you are not going to shoot that scene again - but perhaps next time you might think of all the comments here - and remember those you found had some merit. This is how I try to get better, and I sure as hell can use all the help I get  :P

I like the image, it really is romantic. Nice contrast.

i like it as it is - they are in their own world and nothing around can disturb them,
the warning sticker is a welcome underlining of the scene

I have a comment which has nothing, and at the same time, everything to do with the image and comment stream.

It is a great feeling to be back in a circumstance where people are civil, knowledgeable and forthright about their opinions and there is no hint of underlying attitude.
I have missed this very much and, although my work is clearly in the lowest quartile of those posting here, I am so happy to be here.
