To kindle a fire,
the autumn winds have piled
a few dead leaves.

That is really lovely Chris. And a very nice lens. I wonder if it's much different than the Nikkor K 85/1.8 from 1974?  (I love that lens on the Df)

This is at F/4.0 however and not wide open....

Silver Birch Betula pendula  has a deep yellow foliage in autumn. There are plenty of these trees in my neighbourhood so easy to get exactly the final outcome I envisioned.

Nikon 1V1 with AF Nikkor 14 mm f/2.8. An old favourite of mine.

Winter has long come here with temperatures of -20 -25°C. These are from a trip to up north in Alaska in end of August a few years ago; mostly drive by captures with 105/2.5 and D200/D40x.

#3 for the color, #6 for the geometry.  Nice capture, Øivind!

Correction on 16th: #4 for the color.

Thanks for the comments Aburban and Akira. The straight geometric pattern near the middle of #6 is caused by the buried Alaska oil pipeline.
