Arturo thank you for the info :)
I post the bee eaters shot on Facebook and someone said that due to color differences the left is a female and the other is a male, you maybe right about the eye color I will try to remember .

Here are two European Kestrels the one to the right with a snack. They find something to eat in the fields and then  go up to eat it.

Z8 180/600, in monochrome  and color, I noticed that 180/600 has a little more saturated colors than 500 pf 8)
This is Z8 Standard profile changed to have slight less contrast

It's interesting because of the symmetry, good shot Nasos

Very nice color shot, Nasos, +1 for the symmetry. The Kestrels seem to live a rather dangerous life if those lines are live!

Thank you Oivid, symmetry was the key for this shot
Tom very nice shot especially the second  :)
Thank you Arturo :) and yes Swallows are in my list since last year ;D

I spend a couple of hours in a small lake to be able to have a good photo of shallow  touching down the water for insects :o
It was very challenging, the Z8/180-600 was heavier than Z8/500pf used  last year and slower AF >:( so  almost impossible to use EVF
But I found a workaround: I used precapture 1 sec  with 30 FPS (jpeg >:() and trying  to guess where  the bird is without using EVF or back monitor, just pressing 3D AF button and shutter almost continuously ;D
it worked!!!

Z8 /180-600 , 460mm   f6.3 1/4000 sec Iso 2000

Nasos

An impressive selection of recent photos

Do you hand hold your lens or use a tripod & gimbal head?

Thank you Andrew!!

I had a tripod with gimbal used for some video but I find it limited for action, so I ended up  handheld
