Super nice image, really well balanced and framed!
Thanks, Erik! [EDIT] And thanks, Nasos!

Nasos, is that the Reflex-Nikkor 1000mm/11 ?
Very nice three-dimensional look of the craters with light striking at the right angle!

I'll have to give mine another try with the Z7 in DX mode. Should fill the entire frame, and I can use the on-camera vibration reduction, which the 1000 is lacking, and especially the zoomed EVF for accurate focussing.

Jakov and Paco, I'm glad you enjoy the image!

Shooting the part of the moon lit by the sunlight reflected from the earth is challenging.  But the flare- and ghost-resistant K Nikkor 400/5.6 and wide dynamic range of SIGMA fp enabled the image!  I like the clear rendition of the ragged border between the sunlit and earthlit parts.

Thank you all!
Massimo this is Nikon 200-500 5.6E plus TC 20E III on Z50
I was amazed by the performance of the combo I got the same results (not this shot) handheld with AF-A 1/250 sec, F 16 (two stops from lens open) ISO 400
I also made some 4K video  on tripod I can share if interested 8)

Here's another one from my backlog, going the opposite direction (focal length-wise) with 8-15mm Fisheye-Nikkor @8mm. Shot taken in the French Alps, not really perfect conditions (I was close to the village and its lights...), but still something nice coming out. Nikon Z7, FX mode, Tripod, ISO 6400 and 25" exposure, f/4. I had to lay down on a mat to avoid getting myself in the picture.

One at dusk, inspired by reasonable seeing, revealing the difference in angle from Akira's capture.

Nice one, Øivind.  As the view angle of the moon was about 45 degree above horizon, I could level the camera based on the integrated level in the camera.  So two angles of the moon could be well compared.

Thanks Akira, yes since my camera also was leveled by eye, now we can measure and calculate the difference in latitudes on the condition that both images were fresh takes (as the moon wobbles over time). BTW I used the 300PF+TC14E+TC20E III on D500 for this take.

Really nice!

Thank you, JD!

Thank you for sharing your analysis.  The rig you used seems promising.  My image was heavily cropped but augmented by the new "Enhance" function of ACR.
