 I can’t stand shooting moon
This time a full crop  frame Nikon 200-500  on 500mm plus TC 2X IIIe on z50
I was amazed by the combination with good IQ results, excellent VR handheld and autofocus on f11!-even in low light

Possibly the small parachute causing the opening of the main parachute. The looks are not of a paraglider (parapente in french, parapendio in italian), not wide enough to take off a hill, you jump off a plane, helicopter, balloon, whatever.

Thanks for the comments, i cant remember anything of the situation here its 14 years ago, the d50 was my first digital dslr and the 18-200mm a sort of all purpose lens, this was shot at 200mm, at short range it was quite acceptable, but distance shot maybe adequate? Then this kinda shot is a chance situation which must be my general style  .

Just to follow up on the same line, here is one I might have posted in another thread before from the 2016 March 8 partial eclipse. I was very happy to capture it as we were right at the limit here in Fairbanks and it occurred just as the sun was setting so I was not sure it would be above horizon.



(Captured with the 300mm f/4 PF on the AW1. A Baader solar film based filter was used for the capture, which is about neutral - the color was not added but is the natural one at sunset with daylight white balance.)

I was very happy to capture it as we were right at the limit here in Fairbanks and it occurred just as the sun was setting so I was not sure it would be above horizon.

Initially is like a dream, then you get to know more about lenses

There's a perfect duality in the two images: in mine, the sun is going up and catching up on the moon (upper R); in yours, the sun is going down and the moon is on lower L side.

Regarding the sun's size, I used a D300 + 300 mm/4 too (the old AF-D screwdriver type, manually focused), I didn't use any filter (had none at the time), but I had to resort to 1/6400 @f:8.
On your image the sun is bigger because the AW1 sensor is a little smaller than the D300's (DX).
