Late dusk brings forth the 'Alpenglow' on the mountains encircling this calm inland fjord lake on he Western coast. Just two weeks to midsummer and still plenty of snow. The growing season here is short and hectic.

Less is more. Thinking maybe I can also get $1 000 000 for this image.

Elsa, it's worth every penny!
Cool, John!
Bjørn are those orange colors real or have you pumped up the saturation? It looks like lava :)

For a short while such colours are real indeed. Pumping up colours not really required.

An enchanted evening in the beginning of January many years ago, I waited for something to happen to the beautiful scenery in front of me. It was very cold and the batteries of the D1X were about to die so I had just the opportunity of a few shots. Then just as the alpenglow peaked at maximum intensity, a gaggle of birds flew into view and positioned themselves perfectly in the frame. I snapped a shot and the camera died on me. This is the outcome.

We need some minimalistic injection. What is better suited than a red bollard against a water surface?

... a yellow one from Nordhavn, Denmark?  Fuji X-E1 and an old Minolta 55/1.7 ... I think.  Sweden in the Horizon on the last one - old Minolta 135mm.
