In contrast to dear friend Jakov, the complicated task of my recent moving out of Oslo  has drained all energy away from any creative photography the last months. As I begin to settle in, an urge to pick up the camera again can be hard to resist.

Today's capture, Df with 35-200 Nikkor.

Elsid, that’s gorgeous. I can’t point it...it just works. If anyone can please do.

Dynamite shot, Elsid.  Subject, composition, color treatment is exciting to me.
This has a touch of the flavor of the 1970's photo-movement called "The New Topographics".
A clear photographic recording of seemingly ordinary objects and places, that when combined by the photographer in the frame and moment is simultaneously a document and a work of art.

Paco, Keith,
Thank you for taking the time to comment. I took this   photograph (Df+Zeiss 2.8/21) during my 2 day visit to Missolonghi (West-Central Greece) end of January. If I could use one word to describe what I felt/thought when I saw this scene, it is "daydreaming". Just sit on the bench and let the sea do the rest. I have lived all my life very close to the sea, except during the 7 years I was in the USA. Not a single day goes by without me having a look at it. It is like having a new woman by your side every day, because the sea is different every day. You never get tired of it.

Akira, Anthony,
Thank you for your kind words. The picture was taken last year on Jan 27 along with the 2 below. It was a cold but quiet sunset at the outlet of Evros river in the North East part of Greece, close to the border with Turkey.

Elias, thank you for the additional images.  I love these kinds of mirror images.  The first one is beautiful, and the literally minimalistic second one is simply great.  The ripple of the water surface gives a subtle movement to the image, which is, again, subtly suggested by the reflected twig.  How nice!

Dear Akira,
Since you like this kind of mirror images, I am opening a new thread "Reflections on Water" in just a few moments.
