But we have snow and it does not usually arrive this early, or even snow at all?   My guess is we are heading for a new ice age :-)

In 2030_we go through an asteroid belt. Last time the planet took a hit, temperatures plummeted lower than the depths of the last ice age that the planet was coming out of. There were mass extinctions or so I'm led to believe. I haven't  seen a mastodon or sabertooth cat lately so this might be true.

Dave Hartman who wonders how humanity survives winter in the north today.

Living in the North is easy. Just put on the proper clothing.

Another of those forgotten images I discovered through my barcode scanner tests today.

Incomprehensible to one who has lived in Southern California for nearly 60 years.  :(

Well you best get it comprehensible soon or you will go the same way as the "mastodon or sabertooth cat" :-)

I'm going to have to break out the Herman Survivors (high top thermal boots). The temperature is going down to 8.3℃ (47℉) by sunrise.  ???

[I should have noted that I fix a cut and paste error or else You Tube rand this laptop out resources. I it correct now? I check again when I get home.]

Hey Dave,  29ºC = 84ºF.  Whew, that's pretty hot for a winter night!

I know: one of my classic cut & past errors or just my cheap Motorola phone making a fool of me. Firefox has been crashing and I think I'll have to do a factory reset and start over. I'm not worthy to own an iPhone and have Verizon for my cellular service.

I wish it were 29*C (84*F), really I do.

I’d consider that ‘up’. It’s about 0℃, not raining (!) and I’ll be out for a bicycle ride in a minute 🚴‍♂️
Will take the AW1 as for the weather.

Done before, i know, but still a minimalistic view of a rose. Hard flash and some curves.

like this one. There's a gogo hidden in the curving lines.

Forgotten Ocotillo Blossom
Pima Canyon, Tucson, Arizona
Nikon D800 with Nikon AF-S 105mm f/2.8 VR Micro at f/6.7, 1/750 sec, ISO 200.

I thought that I would throw this shot from yesterday into the minimalist hopper. I love photographing ocotillos and hope you all like it. I decided to leave the little tips of branches poking in from the edge because they seemed to balance out the composition a bit. And it seemed like a good chance to break a rule and get away with it. Speak up if you disagree. Also, I didn't bother to hunt for dust bunnies, but I am sure this image could use it.
