Someone in the neighborhood actually decorated this tree (no image manipulation here other than enhancing an already present structure/grain).
It must have been quite a challenge as it is pretty tall, and the Alaska spruce variants do not have particularly strong branches suitable for climbing.

Ice edges on a river  can be a nice distraction if there isn't anything else around to shoot.

Bjørn, the ice in the river is magical! It still amazes me how you see this stuff! I guess it was made in IR :)

Jakov: using a 400 mm lens suffices. Not IR.
