Commemorating the 743th anniversary of the passing of Nichiren, one of the most famous and revered Buddhist monks and the founder of Nichiren sect.

FWIW, here is my old post dedicated to the commemoration typically called "Oeshiki":

Good night - Zf & Z 35mm f/1.8 @ ISO 6400 - one shot

One shot, count me impressed with that gear combo. And jealous of the view  :) and of course, I enjoy your choices of framing and exposure. The light is liberating in the sky, calm in the water and warm in the house. Lovely

I walk past this building every day on my way to herbaria revision work at the Botanical Museum, University of Oslo. It's very hard not to take yet another shot at the scene, since it changes all the time thoughout the seasons. I try to avoid, however I couldn't resist this last hanging leaf, though.

I remember that other thread too. I like this rendition Akira. That structure caught my attention the first time too. It looks central to the celebration?

Armando, yes, it is.  The ceremony is held from the 11th through the 13th of October. every year.

Paco, it is central to each participating community group.  The structure called "mando" is shaken up and down during the march, and the artificial flowers lit from the center of the mando enhances its movement.

Many thanks for your feedback Armando and Paco - I'm also very impressed by the Zf. I also did a series of 10 shots to be processed later with StarryLandscapeStacker. But I need to learn the process first. In theory this should yield less noise and the stars should pop out even better.
