"Bloody" sharp @f/2 indeed, check Dustin Abbott for his review on 75/1.5
... which I did already. Do you happen to have one? curious to hear about it.

Many thanks Lars & Fons - I like the Zf & AF-S 300mm PF for hiking - the mountains in canton Uri are impressive

One of two of my D3s - taken with the one with broken screen. And I think I've turned off exif data, at least none is stored in the NEF files.

Any good ideas on how to get it back (without a screen to access the menu)?

I walk past this building every day on my way to herbaria revision work at the Botanical Museum, University of Oslo. It's very hard not to take yet another shot at the scene, since it changes all the time thoughout the seasons. I try to avoid, however I couldn't resist this last hanging leaf, though.

Competition.

I suppose PP can change things a lot,
but there's a fascinating range of brightness levels in this image between the star(s), the aurora and the streetlight Øivind

Thanks for commenting Colin. I brought the 4s exposure down a bit, did some slight local contrast enhancements on the aurora and brightened the stop sign, but the scene is very close to what displayed on the back of the camera with daylight WB. Considering the very bright LEDs of the street lights, it was quite surprising how well the aurora competed with the lighted foreground (unedited cropped thumbnail below).
