In a split-second accident, Birna very nearly lost her left thumb today. Not good -- not at all. The gush went to the bone, literally. The surgeon of the Emergency Ward fixed it -- or at least I hope so. I'm left-handed
It suddenly became uncertain whether I can bring, not to speak of lift up, my Z9, on the forthcoming visit to Paco in Spain. Leaving in a few days. I probably have to rethink the photo challenges for my meet-up with him and might have to drop the Z9 and swap to lighter gear. We'll see over the weekend what mess that remains after the anaesthetic and painkillers have done their duty. The stitches, and more painkillers, will accompany me on the trip.
At least the Z30 + 28SE in my purse allowed for a few documentary snaps. For once having a lightweight camera with AF was beneficial. I also quick-tested whether the Z30 could fly on its own and survive the inevitable crash onto flagstones. It survived as the image below bears witness to. So did the lens but the HN-2 hood acquired some extra dings and scratches.
